The City of Sails Barbershop Chorus is a group of more than 40 men from around the Auckland region who enjoy singing a cappella, mostly in the barbershop style.
The chorus has a proud history as New Zealand’s first barbershop organisation, and in 2019 they celebrated their 40th anniversary by winning the national barbershop chorus competition.
The members freely give their time on a regular basis to perform for many hundreds of people every year for civic, cultural, and charitable organizations, private groups, churches, community events, and fundraisers. The chorus educates and inspires to ensure each member’s continued musical growth and works to foster singing in the community.
